We often think about coaching in terms of sports, but how different could your career journey be if you had a coach? Someone who was there at every turn to assess your actions and show you how to improve on them the next time you’re in a given situation or when it’s time to reach for a promotion?

How would that experience be amplified if your coach looked like you, spoke your language and understood your experience?

My name is Angela V.  Harris and I am here to help Black women in tech strategically navigate the corporate landscape.

There are numerous obstacles Black women in tech must overcome to gain access to the best resources and jobs.

My name is Angela V.  Harris and I am here to help Black women in tech strategically navigate the corporate landscape.

There are numerous obstacles Black women in tech must overcome to gain access to the best resources and jobs.

  • According to a 2022 report from AnitaB.org, Black women make up 2.2% of the tech industry.
  •
  • Black women make 58 cents for every dollar paid to White, non-Hispanic men and lose almost $1 million over a 40-year career
  • Black women lack access to significant opportunities that support their leadership development
  •
  • Black women are more likely to struggle with imposter syndrome due to being the “only” or one of a few in their field

CAN YOU RELATE TO ANY OF THIS?

You  are the “only” in your organization and you do not feel seen or valued

You do the work to get promoted but only receive an increase in responsibilities and status without the change in compensation

  • You are tired of “playing the game” and being overlooked for promotions despite being qualified

You want to make a change, but feel stuck trying to figure out what it is

You check all the boxes, but the rules keep changing

You are unsure how to navigate your work environment, organization’s culture, and people around you

As your Certified Leadership Coach, my job is to inspire you to:
  • – Lead from the strong, self-aware, conscious place you know is in you
  •
  • – Stand more confidently in your personal power and be comfortable in any situation and in front of any audience you face
  •
  • – Build a network of champions and sponsors to advance your career
  •
  • – Strategize the path to turn your vision into a reality
  •
  • – Cultivate a leadership style and presence starting from a place of authenticity

Now imagine our work together is complete…

You have a clear understanding of your “why”

Your values are in perfect alignment with your work

You have unlocked your most powerful self

You feel inspired, know your worth, and you aren’t afraid to play big

You have discovered your passions and have a rejuvenated mindset

You have unlocked your next level of success

In order to Accelerate your career, you need a plan to be seen.

As a Black woman I have experienced the pitfalls of being overlooked for promotions, struggled with proving myself for employment, and know the challenge it takes to be seen as qualified in the corporate space. I am taking what I’ve learned in my 20+ years as a tech professional and using it to help other Black women navigate their career paths more efficiently and reach the heights they are qualified for and capable of.

It’s time to rebuild, repair and reroute.

The challenges you face may look like getting hired for new opportunities, struggling to receive adequate sponsorship or mentorship in the workplace or being included in professional development to name a few. Whether you are just out of college, or years into your career, we will work together to come up with a new plan, reset your thinking and determine your new finish line together.
We do this by first identifying your finish line: what’s holding you back? Next, we’ll develop your personal roadmap: There is a basic journey laid out for all of us, but our different backgrounds and experiences call for that journey to be modified to fit our stride. What will yours look like?

Are you ready to unlock your next level of success?
